Action for Family Carers is a well-established Essex-based charity dedicated to supporting unpaid carers and young carers. We’ve been making a positive impact for over 30 years.
We are looking to recruit:
Fundraising Coordinator
Permanent role | 21 hours per week (hybrid) | £29,361 per annum FTE
We’re looking for a dynamic individual to identify, secure, and manage funding opportunities. You will work closely with our Head of Business Development & Partnerships to implement our income generation strategy and grow new income streams including individual giving, legacies, corporates. This includes researching potential funders, preparing compelling grant proposals, managing funding applications, and maintaining relationships with donors and partners. Additionally, you will leverage data to demonstrate our impact and secure funding.
The ideal candidate will have experience in securing funding through grants, donations, partnerships and sponsorships. Strong writing and communication skills are essential for crafting compelling proposals. You also understand the value of accurate data when demonstrating impact of our services and have good data analysis and CRM skills.

Young Carer Service Manager
Permanent role | 35 hours per week (flexible days/hours by agreement) | £33,057 per annum FTE
We’re looking for a manager of our services for children and young people. You will lead our Young Carers provision across Essex ensuring that the support we provide is effective and efficient, that team members feel motivated and supported and, most importantly, that Young Carers in Essex are safe, able to enjoy their childhood and can fulfil their potential. You will be a member of the Senior Management Team working closely with the Chief Executive Officer helping to steer the future direction of the charity.
You are motivated by achieving a positive impact for children and young people and will have ideas about how best to achieve that. You are highly organised with excellent communication and management skills. You also understand the value of accurate data when demonstrating the impact of our services.
