Ukrainians in Chelmsford

We work in close partnership with the City Council’s Home for Ukrainian’s Advisor, and the Ukrainians in Chelmsford community group to help support the families who’ve made Chelmsford their home following the Russian invasion of their country.

We help to facilitate: Community Meetings; English language classes; Maths and English tuition for exam-age children; cultural exchanges and celebrations; arrange volunteering opportunities; and offer free advice, guidance and signposting to those who need it.

Our goal is to help adults with practical advice and support as they rebuild their lives, get their qualifications recognised, and contribute to our city;  to help young people fully reach their potential, both educationally and socially; to ensure the youngest children don’t lose touch of their cultural heritage; to provide safe spaces for mental health support, connection, and wellbeing; to share food, art, music and joy with local people; and to create a lasting sense of community and happily integrated neighbourhoods in our shared city.
