Chelmsford is coming together to create a powerful community display for Remembrance Day 2026, and we need as many knitted and crocheted poppies as possible!
Whether you’re an experienced knitter, part of a local crafting group, or completely new to yarn crafts, your poppies will help fill Chelmsford with a moving tribute of remembrance.

Where should I take the poppies once I have knitted them please?

Thank you for joining in! You can deliver or post oppies to our office (Chelmsford CVS Burgess Well House, Coval Lane, CM1 1FW) or to the front desk of Chelmsford City Council on Duke Street.

Thank you so much for getting involved! Yes, some people are indeed making purple and white poppies. DO please feel free to send these in if it’s something you’d like to do.
