Chelmsford Race for Life 2024 – Event Volunteers at Hylands Park 14th July
On Sunday 14th July we need army of volunteers to support our Race for Life at Hylands Park.
Race for Life is open to men, women and children of all ages and fitness abilities and provides Essex and the rest of the UK with the opportunity to come together to help fund our life-saving cancer research.
There are several volunteer roles available such as course marshals, obstacle marshals and back marker/ walker. Cheer on and help our participants as they climb over, crawl under, and charge through a muddy obstacle course. You could help out on the day by setting up the event, supporting our racers as they take on the course, helping with enquiries or handing out medals at the finish line.
Welfare Volunteer at Festivals across the UK
The Welfare Crew are seeking volunteers to work within the welfare provision at various festivals across the UK including Creamfields Chelmsford, Download, Latitude, Reading, Leeds and Creamfields North.
The Welfare Crew are looking for people who are over 18; are non-judgmental and understanding; are able to chat to people; willing to learn and be part of a team; willing to have a DBS check. The support we offer is:
– Support for festival goers who are vulnerable due to substance use, mental health, victims of assault, sexual assault or domestic abuse
– A safe space for festival goers if they are feeling overwhelmed
– Advice/education about drugs and alcohol
