The FRSB has now formally closed and has passed on the regulatory duties to the new Fundraising Regulator in recent months. They have now issued cheques refunding membership income to over 1,800 members organisations who had paid membership fee beyond 31 July 2016.
As part of the winding up process, once the organisation’s accounts are finalised, there is expected to be a residual surplus in the region of £20,000 which is being donated to the Small Charities Coalition (SCC). This decision has been made by the FRSB to assist the SCC in supporting and enabling small charities to gain access to affordable training, resources and one-to-one support for fundraising and governance.
Further information is set out in their final press statement which can be found here: FRSB Closure Statement 10 November 2016
