Chelmsford CVS is working in partnership with Writtle University College to launch a family-friendly festival focusing on health and wellbeing.

Get ready for a fun-filled event! The Healthy Living Festival takes place from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 7th October at Writtle University College’s scenic countryside estate, just two miles from Chelmsford.

The fantastic, family-friendly day out offers FREE entry, on-site parking and a nearby network of cycle paths.

The festival has been launched by CVS Chelmsford, in partnership with Writtle University College. The activity-packed day is perfect for fans of delicious food – including healthy pizza options – live music, sport and games.

Visitors can look forward to sports from basketball to hula hooping, arts and crafts and much more. Other activities include creating your own seed-bomb, an introduction to beautiful plants, and a face painter offering nature-inspired designs.

Visitors can explore the stunning gardens or join hourly tours of the specialist animal centre, which is home to capybaras, emus, alpacas and other amazing creatures!

Talks and demonstrations will take place throughout the day, from ‘Healthy Coping Bingo’ to tips on boosting your wellbeing through nature and animals.

Lorraine Jarvis, Chief Officer at charity-championing organisation CVS Chelmsford, said: “Chelmsford is very lucky to have such a community-minded, outward-looking institution like Writtle University College on our doorstep. We’re really pleased to have an opportunity for local services and charities to actively engage with the public, and for our community to come together in such a beautiful space.

“This festival is about encouraging people to realize that good health and wellbeing comes in many different, exciting forms, and we hope that this can help to open doors, and remove barriers for local people to be able live well.
