Guide Dogs – Talking Buses Campaign

guide dog on busNearly two thirds of bus passengers with sight loss have missed their stop at least once over the last six months. Lack of audio visual next stop and final destination announcements is a big part of why people are missing their stops as it leaves passengers with sight loss trying to guess where they are on their journey.

For such passengers missing a stop isn’t just an inconvenience, it can be highly distressing or even potentially dangerous which is why Guide Dogs have set up the Talking Buses campaign.

Please sign their petition calling for all new buses to be talking buses and add your support to help secure independence for blind and partially sighted people throughout the UK.
