South Woodham Ferrers (SWF) Healthcare 2000 Group was established in 1999 as a Millennium project.

It was started by the GPs in the Town who were concerned that the healthcare facilities and services which were promised in the 1970s hadn’t materialised. By 2004 it had grown to include all organisations and people involved and interested in the delivery of healthcare in SWF.

The group is chaired and led by lay people and has adapted to the ever changing NHS framework. It has been instrumental in bringing various new healthcare facilities to SWF including the health clinic extension and annex, and additional phlebotomy, physiotherapy, ultrasound and outpatient clinic services.

Three public meetings are held each year, to which everyone is welcome subject to booking a free place in advance. The 2014 meetings are as follows:

All from 1230-1400 at Club Woodham, Baron Road, SWF, CM3 5XQ, including buffet lunch
