The soft launch for NHS 111 in north Essex has been delayed. NHS Direct (the provider of NHS 111 in North Essex) has requested a later date, so that lessons from other NHS 111 service launches can be learnt and acted on. Services in north east Essex, mid Essex and west Essex should carry on with existing arrangements with NHS Direct 0845 4647 for health advice and the current out of hours providers for calls out of hours.
