Spirit of Chelmsford celebrates the wonderful community spirit we have seen in our local area.
There’s been a huge upsurge of community action in response to Coronavirus and we felt it was time to say a heartfelt thank you to all those who have given so much to their communities.
The Mayor of Chelmsford is already giving out hundreds of Chelmsford CVS’s Community Volunteer badges to individuals on their doorsteps to thank them for their support.
We’re now asking for nominations of any business, voluntary group or charity – big or small – that is helping during these unprecedented times.
You might want to nominate a neighbour who has checked on you throughout the pandemic, a group that has picked up your prescription while you’ve been isolating, a friend who has made face masks or scrubs, a local shop that has stayed open throughout lockdown, a supermarket which has collected and distributed donated supplies or a business that has given its goods for free to those who need it.
We would love to hear from you!
Please visit our page ‘How to nominate’ to put forward an individual, voluntary group, business or charity.
There are no winners – everyone nominated and verified will be given a certificate and honoured on our dedicated Facebook page.
Visit our Spirit of Chelmsford page on Facebook to see those already recognised and the wonderful difference they are making – and to experience the joy and warmth that community spirit in Chelmsford brings!
